Make it easier to create long lists
I have wanted to create lists, but it seems difficult especially to create a closed list.
Two lists I have wanted to create, UNESCO world heritage sites, but adding 700 sites seems daunting, but I'd like for it to be a closed list.
The other list I wanted to create was a good list of New York City restaurants. There are many lists already there, but they are mostly incoherent.
Something like Michelin rated restaurants or NY Times 3 Star and 4 Star restaurants would be great, but a lot of work.
Perhaps some system to propose lists that diddit staff or other community members might create.
Also perhaps a system to rate/approve of lists. So that we get better and better lists over time.

Inappropriate?Ben,
I agree that the current create process needs some tweaking. I've created a few lists of 100+ items and I use the same tool that you do, so I understand it's +'s and -'s.
Do you have any specific suggestions (other than to suggest a list topic and have other people create it for you) that would make the list create process better / easier for you?
I'm curious what parts of this process that you don't like (other then the difficulty to create a list with 700 activities, which I agree, would be very difficult and time consuming.)
All other list authors -- feel free to chime in with your thoughts about the create process and with ideas to improve it. -
Inappropriate?oh, the other tool i had thought of (sorry for the late reply) was some kind of tool that would take a URL and the site could try to parse the contents of that website. one of the personal library organizer sites had something similar. though it never worked super well.

Inappropriate?Ben,
I like this idea, but as you noted, it's hard to do well. We'll consider adding something like this is in the future. At the moment we're looking more at ways to engage you and the rest of the diddit community around the activities we have... maybe outside of lists. Did you know we have over 500k activities on Diddit? Many of them aren't in lists. In fact, we probably have most, if not all of the UNESCO heritage sites for you to check off as a diddit or star as a wanna do.
